About My Work

From 1971 until 2001, I produced etchings in a detailed “Old World” style under the name Alice Scott-Morris (aka Alice V. Morris). I was initially inspired by a trip to Europe and by my UCLA courses in etching, children’s literature and J.R.R. Tolkien. The following is a timeline of my work….
1975 – 1981: I designed a line of self-published stationery and note cards under the business name Daydream Graphics and professional name, Alice V. Scott. It was carried by a network of reps in the U.S.
1976 – 2001: After taking an etching course at UCLA, I began my etching business. Go to my “Complete List” link for information about the 220 or so limited edition etching editions I produced. They were sold in about 40 states and are in hundreds of collections. I also created “Alice’s Alphabet” in 1991 with individual etching initials and posters which I continue to carry.
2007 – 2009: I helped illustrate two books (by Angela Cartwright & Sarah Fishburn) entitled “In This House” and “In This Garden.” They’re both available on Amazon.com.
I’ve taken a long hiatus from my own artwork. I’ve also moved a number of times for family reasons and am now settled in Vacaville, Northern California, near my daughters, their husbands and my grandsons.
